Gap Year Research Project

IN HIGH SCHOOL? ON A GAP YEAR? WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU.

Researchers have been creating a monthly email resource about gap year decision making (available at https://astar.tv/gapyear/), and they would like to hear your thoughts.

Before we get started, it is important to read your relevant information sheet...

... and to check out the resource at https://astar.tv/gapyear/

Now you are ready to provide us with some feedback by participating in an interview or focus group. Be sure to pick the one relevant to you.

SUPPORTING GAP YEAR DECISIONS?

Are you someone who is supporting a young person about making decisions about gap years and uni?

After reading the information sheet, you may be interested in doing an interview or focus group. Please note, you don’t have to live near the uni to participate in interviews. This online form will help us organise an interview or focus group for a time and place that suits you.

WANT TO KNOW MORE?

If you want to know more about our research or give us your feedback, there’re lots of ways to find out more:

Was the ‘gap year’ resource we shared with you any help?

A ‘gap year’ means taking a ‘break’ to engage in various activities between the end of high school and starting your next study.

The University of Sydney is collaborating with the University of Canberra, the University of Wollongong and the Country Education Foundation to develop a free and non-branded information resource to help people decide about gap years and transition from a gap year to the university or other further studies.

Please know that the resource is free and available to everyone; but, this resource is something new … so we are keen to know what people think about it and to research whether the resource is useful or not. You don’t have to participate in any research just because you use or subscribe to the resource.  If you don’t want to participate in the research, just go back to using the resource like normal.
