Held off writing this post because no one likes a spoiler sport, but it’s been weeks since Stranger Things 2 came out, so if you haven’t seen it yet, your fault. What do you have, a real life or something?
Anyway, like most, I’m sans life, and so I binged the entire series in two sittings. The fact that I was able to break it up into two days of watching was a triumph in itself. It is so goddamn easy to watch. Not including episode 7, of course. Episode 7 is a huge blemish on the entire series and should have been left to suffocate in the Upside Down. Still, the minute it finished, I fell down a deep dark internet hole that ended with me following every cast member on Instagram. Here are a few of the best things I found out about them.
NANCY AND JONATHAN ARE DATING IRL
Okay, so I know Steve really grows on you in season 2, but true love must prevail, and Nancy belongs with Jonathan. There’s no denying it. It’s actually so obvious that they are now dating in real life, because paparazzi pictures don’t lie.
ELEVEN IS BRITISH AND SAVED HER FAMILY FROM POVERTY
This headline looks like it belongs on the Daily Mail, but in a nutshell, these are the facts I wanted to get across. I realise most people would know Millie Bobby Brown is British if they’d bothered to just watch one interview with her, which I hadn’t, until now. As for the family thing, apparently her parents sold everything to move to Hollywood and help Millie realise her dream, but had to move back when they ran out of money. She was just about to quit acting when she took one last audition: it was for Stranger Things.
BAD-BOY BILLY IS AUSTRALIAN AND HIS AUDTION TAPE IS AMAZING
Dacre Montgomery, who plays Billy in the new season, is a 22-year-old actor from Perth. Leading up to the second season’s release, rumours were swirling about the audition tape he sent to the show’s creators, The Duffer Brothers. It was released on November 2, and, let’s just say, he deserved the part. Watch it above.
