‘Nixie’ is a wearable camera that can fly off from your wrist.
The tiny quadcopter is able to take video or pictures in the air. It seems you don’t need a remote control for it. It has four pre-programmed fight paths, including boomerang mode, panorama mode, follow me mode and hover mode. You gesture for it to return to you via visual cues to its camera.
The drone weighs less that 45 grams, can capture full HD images or video, plus can connect with a smartphone.
Get set for obsessive social media users to start live streaming their walk through a city, with their camera drone watch hovering above. Panorama mode would be incredible when you’re out at the beach with friends. Man, the future is becoming really cool.
The developer team that built this product gained funding by winning intel’s ‘Make It Wearable Competition’ in 2014. It’s not available to buy just yet. But we can expect them to appear on the scene soon enough.
