How did you get into nail art?
I have always been into nail art since I was a teen. I have never worn my nails plain.
How patient do you have to be to do what you do?
You do need patience, but I find doing nails very relaxing. So for me, I’m just get into a zone, and because it’s relaxing I’m naturally patient.
Do you dream about designs and colour combos in your sleep?
Haha, probably have, but I do find designs or ideas will just pop up at random times. Because I may have just seen something that inspired me, and then I’ll jot down the idea.
What is a typical day like for you as a nail artist?
I mainly freelance so everyday is different, which keeps it fun. Whenever I can between work jobs, I’ll be painting my nails or nail wheels, always playing to keep the creativity flowing.
How did you take something niche like nail art and make it into a business?
I was a makeup artist, and was already in the beauty industry. So the transition was just a different form of beauty, and I just wanted to take the thing I love most and try and get people to love it as much as I do.
