The Premier League season is locked in a thrilling rush to the finish right now.
Chelsea and Tottenham are just 4 points apart with four games each left to play, but Chelsea kept the upper hand by making easy work of Everton 3-0 on the weekend. The win was sparked by a glorious left footed screamer from Pedro.
Tottenham aka Spurs beat their North London rivals Arsenal 2-0 to ensure they’ll finish above them for the first time in 22 years. Dele Alli and Harry Kane were in the goals. Most likely, Chelsea will soon lock up the title in manager Antonio Conte’s first season in charge.
The real action is going on below those two clubs, with Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal fighting for the last two Champions League places.
My beloved Liverpool (bit of a fan) did what was vitally needed against Watford last night, taking a 1-0 win thanks to a superlative overhead kick via Emre Can. If they win their remaining three games, they’ll return to the Champions League in manager Jurgen Klopp’s first full season in charge.
We’re set for a super exciting few weeks. Arsenal and Tottenham are still to play Manchester United. Here’s the top end of the table as it stands. Oh the suspense!
